Do I need a referral from a doctor?

You do not need a referral to contact Little Leaps, submit a request, or receive services. Little Leaps is a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance directly. However, if you plan to seek out-of-network reimbursement, your insurance provider may require a referral or prescription. We recommend confirming your plan’s requirements before care begins, and we’ll help you understand what documentation may be needed from Little Leaps.

What happens after I submit a request?

We’ll contact you within one business day to learn more about your child, answer your questions, and discuss the best next step. If Little Leaps feels like a good fit, we’ll review scheduling, pricing, and anything needed before your child’s evaluation. Submitting a request does not commit you to booking.

Where do visits take place?

Visits are provided in the places where your child’s life happens—most often at home, but sometimes in another appropriate community setting, like a playground. Working in your child’s everyday environment allows us to understand their routines, recognize real-life barriers, and create practical strategies that work for your family.

Absolutely. You are welcome to ask questions before deciding whether to schedule. We want you to feel comfortable with the process, understand the pricing, and know what to expect before moving forward.

What happens if insurance denies my child’s equipment?

Accepted Answer

If your child’s equipment is denied, you will not have to navigate the first appeal alone. With your written permission, we will determine why the request was denied, communicate with the insurance company, collaborate with your ATP and equipment vendor, strengthen the supporting documentation, and prepare and submit one appeal.Insurance approval cannot be guaranteed. One appeal is included in your equipment evaluation package. If additional appeal support or an external review is needed, the available options and any associated fees will be discussed before further work begins.
